Today I have a couple more polishes from my recent drugstore haul:

Gold by Milani & Blazed by Wet ‘n Wild

Let’s get right to it, shall we?

First up is Gold. This is another lovely from Milani’s Rockstar Heavy Glitter collection. Most of the polishes in the collection are “one coat glitters” (I reviewed 2 of them here), this however was just labeled as a Jewel FX. I think it’s basically made to be layered rather than worn on it’s own.

It has large pieces of gold glitter suspended in a clear base.

Because the glitter is so large it can be a little tricky. It has a tendency to slide around and group together when you’re painting it on, so you just have to be careful and kind of place the pieces where you want them. Definitely let it dry between coats or else you’ll just keep moving the glitter around with each brush stroke. The pics below are with 2 coats.

The gold glitter is pretty and flashy, but it’s definitely meant to be layered.

Next I have Blazed by Wet ‘n Wild. I’ve been loving these Wet ‘n Wild polishes lately cuz they’re super inexpensive, but have a really great formula and come in a wide range of shades.

The formula on Blazed wasn’t as pigmented as some other colors I’ve used from this collection, but it was still ok. I did have to use 3 coats for full coverage though, cuz I still had VNL after 2.

This color is so weird because in the bottle and in person it’s totally coral, but as soon as I started taking pics it looked totally orange! When I looked through the camera lens and saw it was orange I did a double take. I kept going between looking at it through the camera and just looking at it normally because I couldn’t believe the difference in the color. Contrary to what the pictures below show, believe me when I say it’s coral and not orange (though I guess the name “Blazed” is more fitting for an orange shade).
