Dr.’s Remedy Fall Fever

Happy Friday Peeps!

This week really flew by for me. I think it’s cuz yesterday was Thanksgiving…which means today is Black Friday.

I used to shop on Black Friday with my mom and my sisters when I was in junior high and high school, but now I just can’t get into the craziness. I’d rather wait for Cyber Monday. I rarely ever actually go into a store to buy Christmas presents cuz as much as I love the holidays, I hate holiday shoppers.

I hope those of you that get into the Black Friday craziness find some good deals, and make it out in one-piece. 🙂

Anyway, today I have swatches of the Dr.’s Remedy Fall Fever collection. I meant to post these a couple of weeks ago, but they got buried in my swatch folder. But it’s still Fall, so they’re still appropriate right? Right. Let’s get to the pics…

First we have Defense Deep Red. This one is described as a rich bordeaux with a matte finish, but I’d say it’s a deep red jelly. It didn’t even dry matte so I’m not sure what that’s all about. Either way, I really like this color because it’s all squishy and vampy. In the pic below I used 3 coats.

.

.

Next we have Noble Navy which is probably my favorite one in the collection. It’s a dark navy blue creme, and we know how I love blues and cremes. I think it looks just like Zoya Cynthia, which I’m happy about because I really wanted Cynthia but couldn’t bring myself to buy it because it kept reminding me of a particular girl with that name who is not my favorite person in the world. Anyway, this baby was a creamy one-coat-wonder, but I used 2 for good measure.

.

.

And last, but not least we have Balance Brick. This is a brick-red creme. It’s not unique or special, but it is a nice fall color. In the pic below I used 2 coats.

So there’s Dr.’s Remedy’s offering for fall. What say you about this little collection?

These are available online at http://remedynails.com for $17 each.

They’re enriched with all kinds of vitamins that are good for your nails, so they’re like a polish and a nail treatment all rolled in one. You can find out more about all of that on their website, or by following them on Twitter and checking out their Facebook page as well.

That’s all for today my loves! Have a fabulous Friday!

Dr.s’ Remedy Hot Hot Hot Summer

Happy Friday Peeps!

I’m so excited it’s finally Friday, especially since I have this weekend off! Yay!

Anyhow, I’m way late on these…especially considering summer is almost over and fall collections are already out, oops?…but I have Dr.s’ Remedy’s summer collection for you today.

If you’re not familiar with Dr.s’ Remedy, it’s a line of polish made with all kinds of cool vitamins and extracts in it that are supposed to be really good for your nails. It’s like having a nail treatment and a nail polish all in one.

I have to say that I’m kind of impressed with this summer collection because it looks like they’re really trying to venture out and come up with more appealing shades for their line. Anyway, let’s get to the goods. I used 2 coats with no top coat for all of the pics below.

First up is Lovely Lavender. This is actually my favorite one of the bunch. It’s not a unique color, but it’s beautiful all the same. Plus the formula is really creamy and applied like a dream. I even wore it as a full mani after I was done swatching.

.

.

Glee Gold. Okay, this is a really pretty gold shimmer, but I hate the way it looks on me. It’s just too close to my skin tone, so it kind of gives me shimmery mannequin hands. Blech. It would be pretty on a different skin tone, but it’s just not my cup of tea.

.

.

Tranquil Tangerine. This baby rocks! It’s an amazing bright orange with subtle shimmer. Bright and beautiful with a lovely application. Love it.

.

.

Bold Baby Blue. This one is also a beauty. I wouldn’t exactly call it bold though. It’s a cool blue shimmer that also had a lovely formula and went on smooth and easy.

.

.

And lastly we have Nurture Nude Pink. Love this color. I didn’t think it was possible for me to like a nude so much. Again, great formula, and the hint of pink shimmer running through it adds a special little touch.

What say you about this collection?

You can find these at http://www.remedynails.com for $17 each.

I’m not too keen on the price, but it may be worth it for those that are specifically looking for nurturing ingredients in their polish.

Anyway, have a great weekend loves!

Dr.’s Remedy Winter Wonder-Nails

Oh look at that, it’s Monday once again!

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was nice, but much too short as usual.

.

I’ve been on nail polish overload ever since swatching the entire Tronica Collection on Saturday, so for the next couple of days I think I’m just gonna get caught up on posting polishes that I’ve already swatched but have yet to review…

The first of those being 3 little lovelies from Dr.’s Remedy Winter Wonder-Nails Collection.

.

I’m gonna be honest, when I first heard of these I was very skeptical and not too interested, so I was surprised to find out that the company and the polish is pretty legit.

They tout their products as being “a healthier alternative to commercial nail polish”. It’s big 3 free and it has cool, healthy stuff in it like tea tree oil and wheat protein. They also come in those squarish bottles, which I happen to kind of love 🙂

Anyway, I got 3 of the colors, so let’s peep ’em out… Continue reading
