Independence Day Nails

Happy 4th of July Everyone!

I wasn’t really planning on posting today, but I know I love seeing the different manis that everyone comes up with for holidays, so I decided to quickly share my Independence Day nails with you today.

In the pics below I used 3 coats of China Glaze Ride the Waves topped with Lac Attack Rydell Forever on all but my ring finger. On my ring finger I did 2 coats of Zoya Sooki topped with 2 coats of Windestine Asbestos. Peep it:

That’s all for today my loves!

I hope all of my American readers have a happy Independence Day, and for those of you who aren’t celebrating the holiday, have a wonderful Wednesday!

(Lac Attack  and Windestine polishes can be purchased from their Etsy shops here and here)

NOTD: China Glaze Winter Berry & OPI Gettin’ Miss Piggy With It!

Happy Sunday My Loves!

Sorry it’s been a few days since I posted, things got a little hectic last week. Can you believe it’s December already?! My little blog is gonna be a year old in a couple of days! The end of the year always seems to go by ridiculously fast!

Anyway, I decided that it’s due time for me to start getting into the holiday spirit so today I have a mani that I did using China Glaze Winter Berry and OPI Gettin’ Miss Piggy With It!

I almost never wear red nail polish because I don’t usually like how it looks on me, but I love Winter Berry. It’s a beautiful red jelly and it’s all squishy and wonderful. In the pics below I used 2 smooth coats of it, then I topped my ring finger off with 2 coats of OPI Gettin’ Miss Piggy With It! to add a little bling. Peep it:

I rarely say that I love reds, but I really love both of these colors and I think they’re perfect for the Holidays.

How do you feel about these lovelies? Let me know what you think and enjoy the rest of your weekend! 🙂

True Blood Nails: Bloody French Tips

Happy Sunday Peeps!

I know I’ve been gone for a while again, so I apologize for that. I’m really trying to get back to giving my blog the TLC that it needs, but I’ve had a million things going on lately.

Anyhow, since it’s Sunday I have another True Blood inspired mani for you today.

I got the idea for it from the Mad Dripping Mani post that Sam from Fashion Polish did late last year. I thought it would be cool to try it out with red polish to make it look like blood dripping on my nails. I’m pretty satisfied with how it came out, and it only took a few minutes and very minimal effort. Check it out:

.

First I simply did a drip design with Zoya Sooki right onto my natural nail…

.

.

Then I added some glitter using Milani One Coat Glitter in Red Sparkle because Sookie Stackhouse has fairy blood, and I like to think that fairy blood would be glittery 🙂

So what do you think of these bloody french tips?

I know they’re probably not for everyone, but I like them and they were super easy. Plus they’re definitely serving their purpose as my Truebie mani for this Sunday. Don’t forget to watch tonight! 🙂

I Joined the Cult!-Part 2

Hey Peeps!

So I promised to have the other 2 Cult Nails colors for you today, but when I was cropping my pics of Quench, I realized that I was totally dissatisfied with how they came out. It wasn’t the fault of the beautiful nail polish- just user error. I tried to reswatch it on my right hand, as my left has a nubbin on it right now, but it was just not cooperating. Therefore, I will have to wait til one of my hands feels like cooperating before I show you pics of Quench. 😦

But I do have Iconic for you today 🙂

Iconic is a gorgeous, deep red with amazing golden flakies in it. Yes, I said flakies. *Drools*

My first bottle of Iconic met a very sad death on my kitchen floor before I even had a chance to use it, but I got another bottle and I am guarding it with my life! It’s just so gorgeous! Check it out:

M.A.C. Wonder Woman Lacquer

Hey Peeps! Happy Friday!

So I’ve had these M.A.C. Wonder Woman polishes for a few weeks now, but I’m just now getting around to swatching them because I was side-tracked…by other more exciting nail polishes.

Don’t get me wrong, these are lovely, Continue reading

Valentine’s Varnish Day 7

Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!

Today is the final day of my V-day varnish! I hope you guys enjoyed all the manis thus far 🙂

Now it’s time for the pièce de résistance; my official mani for Valentine’s…..

I decided to do a water marble because it is one of the few fancy things that I’ve gotten really good at doing with nail polish and I don’t think I’ll ever get over how cool it looks!

I used American Apparel Downtown L.A. (I was born there!), Zoya Pinta and OPI Rising Star. My color inspiration was this really pretty scarf I bought to go with my outfit for today.
