a-england Dragon

Happy St. Patrick’s Day Everyone!

I had a totally awesome green skittles mani planned for today, but then I got lazy and lost my mojo for creating festive nails.

But don’t worry, I’ve still got a gorgeous green for you today. It’s the beautiful holo goodness of Dragon from a-england’s The Legend collection.

Dragon is a mossy green scattered holo that has golden and copper flashes to it in different light. True to a-england’s usual amazing formula, this baby applies like butter. I love the fact that it’s a holo that doesn’t need a special base coat to apply smoothly.

In the pics below, I used 2 smooth coats (though it’s pretty opaque at one). Check it out:

Here’s a semi-blurry picture to show the holo a little better:

So there’s my lazy St. Patrick’s Day mani.

It’s pretty and it’s green, so it still counts right? 🙂

Dragon can be bought directly from a-england’s website, and also from a few e-tailers such as Llarowe, Ninja Polish and Overall Beauty.

Are any of you sporting some green tips today?

Let me know what you think of Dragon and have a great weekend! 🙂

Glitter Fest Magic Carpet Ride

Hey Peeps! Happy Friday!

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful week!

Today I have a beautiful little polish to show you that I bought from an Etsy shop I stumbled upon during my never-ending search for pretty polish.

It’s by Glitter Fest and it’s called Magic Carpet Ride. Glitter Fest is hand-mixed nail polish, ala Lynnderella, Dollish Polish, Nerd Lacquer, etc. The owner, Rachel, makes some amazing, glittery concoctions and she sells them in cute little 5ml bottles for $4 each.

As soon as I saw Magic Carpet Ride, I had to have it because I love the movie Aladdin. It came out when I was 8 years old, and when I heard that there was a character named Princess Jasmine, I was super excited that there would be a Disney Princess with the same name as me.

Anyway, Magic Carpet Ride is described as “a dark steel-blue base with larger blue and light pink glitter, along with micro fuchsia glitter throughout”. It’s beautiful glittery goodness.

It can be worn alone and be opaque in 2 coats, but because the bottle is so small and I wanna make it last as long as possible, I chose to layer it. In the pics below I layered one coat of it over 2 coats of a-england Elaine. Peep it:

So what do you think of Magic Carpet Ride?

I like the fact that more beautiful, hand-mixed polishes are emerging as of late. It’s nice to be able to get your hands on something special without dealing with a lot of drama and frustration.

You can purchase Glitter Fest polishes here, and as I mentioned, they are very wallet-friendly at only $4 a pop.

Let me know what you think, and have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

a-england Tristam

Happy Saturday Peeps!

I’ve got a quick post today of the very beautiful a-england Tristam.

I’ve seen this swatched numerous times, but it doesn’t make me love it any less. It’s a gorgeous, midnight blue scattered holo, and I’m in all kinds of love with it. The formula is absolutely heavenly, and barely takes any effort to apply. In the pics below I used 2 coats, but I could’ve gotten away with 1. Peep it:

.

So what do you think of the lovely Tristam? Gorgeous, right?

I’ve ordered a few of the colors from a-england’s new collection, and I can’t wait for them to get here so I can swatch them. I have a feeling I’m gonna be in love with them as well.

You can buy a-england nail polish from their website, and also from llarowe.

Have a wonderful Saturday!
