Well hello there!
I hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend so far 🙂
Today I have a pretty little mani that was inspired by a comment that Sonja from Peace Love Polish left on my last post. She said it was “so fancy schmancy”, which reminded me that I actually have a nail polish named that! 🙂
It’s Sephora by OPI Fancy Schmancy.
Fancy Schmancy is a sheer, ice-blue that is packed with tons of shimmer. I think it actually came out a couple of years ago, but I just snagged a bottle of it from the clearance bin at Sephora a couple of months ago. It looked all pretty and shimmery and was only $1.75, so I couldn’t pass it up!
On its own, it’s one of those colors that takes many coats to be completely opaque. In the pics below I used 4 coats and I still have slight VNL.

Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand
And now she’s in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand
Oh thank you Elton John for recording Tiny Dancer. It’s been one of my favorite songs for years, but I think I love it a little bit more now for being the inspiration for the lovely lacquer I have for you today:

Hey There! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far!
*Warning- this post is kinda pic heavy and a little wordy, but bear with me :)*
I went to run some errands today, and though my original intention was to go see if my local Sephora had the Glee Collection, I somehow came home with a ton of other polish. These things will happen.
Let me just say, Sephora did NOT have the Glee collection, so I was forced to order them online. When I asked the saleslady about them she was all like, “No, we don’t carry regular O.P.I., we only carry Sephora by O.P.I.” At that point I figured talking to her was a lost cause because helloooo mcfly! the Glee collection IS Sephora by O.P.I.
I replied, “They are Sephora by O.P.I., but it’s ok, I’ll just order them online.”
Now, I know Continue reading

I’m home from work today because of the horrid snow…I’ve had enough of the stuff to last 2 lifetimes.
Anyway, I have a post that I actually meant to put up a week or so ago but it slipped through the cracks…
A couple of weeks ago I did a post about Sephora by O.P.I.’s Mermaid To Order. If you read it, then you know how much I love that color. So imagine how excited I was to find that Wet ‘n Wild makes a super inexpensive color that I think may just be a dupe for it.
It’s called Caribbean Frost.
I grabbed it for 50% off at Walgreens a little over a week ago. With 50% off it was only Continue reading
Ok peeps, hold the freakin’ phone!
I am so excited about a beautiful discovery that I made today that I can’t stand it!
I don’t know if anyone has done this yet, but I’ve never seen it on any other blog…
Let me start at the beginning…Last night I painted my nails with Mermaid To Order from Sephora by O.P.I. because I was in a funk and the color is just so gorgeous and super flattering with my skin tone that it just makes me happy all over.
So I took pics of it this morning planning to use it as a “nail of the day” post later this week.
Anyway, after work today I was browsing amazon.com using the app on my blackberry, and in the little “recommended for you” section was Atlantis by China Glaze. I thought to myself, hmm, I already have that color but I’ve never worn it. Then boom! The best idea ever hit me…I should layer it over Mermaid To Order and see what it looks like! And OMG you guys, it’s sooooo beautiful!!!
The colors totally compliment each other! My nails Continue reading
Today I have a review of Sephora by O.P.I.’s What’s Your Point-settia? from their Holiday collection.
As soon as I saw it on the Sephora website I thought it was super pretty and a perfect color for the holiday season. I was dragging my feet about buying it because every time I go into Sephora Continue reading
