Pop Tart Nails

Happy Monday Loves!

Sorry I left you guys without a new post for so long. 2 weeks just flies when you’re busy!

Anyway, today I have a super cute mani that I did using Lacquer Convention Pop Tart and OPI Red Lights Ahead…Where?

Pop Tart is a super awesome polish that’s made to look like the frosting on a pop tart. I think it nails it, cuz it totally looks like a strawberry pop tart to me. I freakin’ love it!

I decided to pair  Red Lights Ahead…where? with it because it reminds me of the color of the filling in a strawberry pop tart. I was kind of disappointed that Red Lights Ahead leans super coral on me, with barely any hint of red because I was really, really wanting it to be red. But I got over it because it turned out to be perfect for this mani.

In the pics below I used 2 creamy coats of Red Lights Ahead on my middle and pinky fingers, and 3  easy coats of Pop Tart on my ring and index. Peep it:

So what do you think of my little pop tart mani?

I love how it came out! Pop Tart is definitely a super fun polish that I see myself wearing again and again. My only regret is that I only got the mini bottle instead of the full-size one.

If you’re loving Pop Tart, you can stalk Lacquer Convention’s Etsy shop here, and try to snag yourself a bottle next time she opens up shop. The mini bottle like I have is only $2.85.  A steal, right?

That’s all for today my loves! Have a magnificent Monday!

NOTD: OPI Yoga-ta Get This Blue! & Milani Gold

Happy Tuesday Peeps!

Yay for Tuesday because it’s not Monday! 🙂

Over the weekend I got a random idea for a blue and gold mani in my head. It was one of those ideas where I was like, “I have to take off my current mani and make it happen right now!” The only problem was that I was pretty sure I had gotten rid of every gold nail polish that I owned because I hate the way it looks on me.

After reaching out for some gold polish ideas on Twitter, and googling gold nail polish like crazy, I realized that I still owned a couple of gold polishes from China Glaze’s Winter collections (because China Glaze polishes are my precious and when I have the entire collections I refuse to part with any single color 😉 ).

Anyway, the mani I have for you today is the result of my idea manifested on my nails 🙂 In the pics below, I used 2 coats of OPI Yoga-ta Get This Blue! on all but my ring finger. I wanted to bling up my ring finger with Milani Gold, but I didn’t wanna have to use 4 or 5 coats, so I used 2 coats of China Glaze Champagne Bubbles as “underwear”, then I only needed 2 coats of Gold. Do you like?

If you don’t own Yoga-ta Get This Blue!, you need to buy it. I had my bottle for a couple of years and had forgotten what a beautiful blue it is. Plus, the formula is flawless.

Milani Gold is pretty awesome too. You get a good amount of glitter with each brush stroke and you don’t have to fiddle with the glitter chunks too much to get an even application. Plus it’s so cool and blingy! It’s sounds cheesy, but I get why they call it a “Jewel FX” because it’s totally like you have little jewels on your nails. I love it!

Anyway, that’s all for today my loves! Let me know what you think of this gold and blue mani, and have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

NOTD: OPI Give Me Moor! & Sally Hansen Save The Date

Hey Peeps! Happy Thursday!

Today is my Friday, and I couldn’t be happier about that because I’m exhausted from this week.

Anyway, I have a quick NOTD for you of a mani I randomly did at work. I wanted to wear a vampy color so I grabbed OPI Give Me Moor! which is a dark plummy/eggplant creme from their Spain collection that came out a few years ago. I seriously neglect gorgeous colors like this in my stash, and I need to give them more love.

I used 2 coats of Give Me Moor! The first coat is kind of thin and watery, but it becomes opaque and creamy with the 2nd. Then I topped my ring finger with one coat of Sally Hansen Save the Date, which is a gorgeous jewel-toned burgundy shimmer. But I wasn’t happy there, so I went back and added some dots over the top using Give Me Moor! The dots are kind of subtle, but they did the trick for me. Peep it (sorry about the tip wear- typing at work is rough on my tips, even when I wrap them 😦 )

That’s all for today my loves! I’ve been running on 3 hours of sleep for the past 30 hours, so I’m ready to crash.

Let me know what you think of this mani and have a lovely Thursday! 🙂
